Overview 

Sloane & Company (“Sloane”) is looking for a driven, self-starter to join the team as an Account Supervisor. This role will support Sloane & Company's leadership in building and retaining an exceptional team.  

  

Applicants must be based in our New York office and willing to adhere to our hybrid office policy (in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). 

 

As an Account Supervisor, you will work with a wide range of clients and lead communications strategies that are creative, strong, and will help meet clients’ goals. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead clients with relative independence and manage account team with input from VP/SVP/MDs on the account; 
  • Develop and track against client work plans and timelines to meet client goals;  
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop new media pitches and angles and exhibit strong media relations skills with success in placing and managing media coverage; 
  • Oversee team deliverables to ensure the highest quality and maintain regular client communication;  
  • Serving as a thought leader with team leads to meet client goals. 

Qualifications

 

  • Previous experience working in communications at a corporation or public relations agency. Financial communications experience is a plus.
  • A background with working with financial service clients. 
  • A strong track record of building media strategies, including placing a wide range of national print and broadcast stories in addition to drafting op-eds, press releases, media advisories, Q&A, talking points, statements as well as other communication documents. 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic integrated communications programs that deliver results. 
  • Experience leading a talented and dynamic team while cultivating a collaborative atmosphere. 
  • Excellent writing skills and experience crafting a variety of communications materials. 
  • Strong strategic instincts and ability to develop and execute communications and strategic plans. 
  • Conceptual thinker with excellent organizational and prioritization skills and meticulous attention to detail. 
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in tandem. 

Benefits

Compensation and Benefits:  

 

Sloane is committed to pay equity. Sloane believes the target range of base compensation in this role is between $100,000-$125,000. In addition to base salary, Sloane considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location.
